Privacy policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026. This page explains, in plain words, what Kinevet does with your data: on the website and in the follow-up of sessions.
Data controller
Kinevet, Place Communale 9, 1380 Lasne, Belgique — kinevetduroy@gmail.com, 0486 09 80 00.
What we collect and why
The website collects personal data in one place only: the appointment request form. We ask for the strict minimum needed to handle your request and contact you:
- your name, phone number and e-mail address;
- information about your dog (name, breed, weight, age, reason for the consultation, history, regular vet) — this is data about an animal, needed to prepare the session;
- the service, date and slot requested, the site language and any remarks.
Legal basis: your consent (given by ticking the box on the form) and the performance of the pre-contractual steps you request (arranging the appointment). You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Who receives your data
Your data is sent to Kinevet (e-mail notification) and, for the acknowledgement, to you. It is processed by our technical providers, solely on our behalf: database hosting in the European Union (Supabase, Frankfurt region), site execution (Vercel, functions in the Frankfurt region) and e-mail sending (Brevo, France). No data is sold, transferred or used for advertising.
For how long
- A request that Kinevet has not followed up is automatically deleted after 90 days.
- A processed request (confirmed, declined or cancelled) is anonymised 365 days after the appointment date: your name, phone and e-mail are erased.
- Your animal’s follow-up file (see below) and invoices fall under professional and accounting obligations.
Cookies and audience measurement
The public site uses no tracking cookies and no third-party audience measurement tools. Two technical cookies exist: the chosen language and a cookie reserved for Kinevet’s administration area. The light or dark theme and the language are remembered in your browser.
Security and anti-spam
To protect the form from bots, a technical fingerprint (irreversible hash) of your IP address is kept with the request and then deleted with it. The IP address itself is not stored.
Your animal’s follow-up file
From the first visit, Kinevet keeps a file per animal: identification (name, species, breed, sex, birth, microchip), your details as owner, the report of each consultation or session (observations, weight, programme) and, with your consent, the name and address of the referring veterinarian to whom a report may be sent. Legal basis: performance of the care contract and the veterinarian’s professional obligations. The file is kept as long as your animal is followed, then five years after the last visit.
Invoices and payments
Invoices (name, address, services, amounts) are kept for seven years, the legal retention period for accounting records. The optional online payment is operated by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd (Dublin, Ireland): Kinevet never receives your bank details, only the payment confirmation. Invoices to professional clients may go through the Peppol network via the Peppyrus access point (Tigron BV, Zaventem).
Attendance
After each confirmed appointment, Kinevet notes whether you were present, late or absent without notice. Legal basis: Kinevet’s legitimate interest in organising its slots. This information is kept for twelve months and is used only to apply the booking terms (payment at booking after three no-shows in thirty days).
Reminders by e-mail and SMS
Kinevet may send you a reminder the day before a confirmed appointment and, if the vet has scheduled it, a reminder related to rehabilitation (session to plan, check-up, end of subscription). Kinevet never reminds you about vaccines or care that belongs to your regular vet. On your pet’s birthday, if it is recorded on its file, you receive a simple greeting by e-mail and SMS. These messages are part of your pet’s follow-up; you can ask to stop receiving them simply by replying to the message or telling the centre.
Your rights
You can request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing or object to processing by writing to kinevetduroy@gmail.com. We reply within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, dataprotectionauthority.be).
In the event of any discrepancy between language versions, the French version prevails.
